What can you do when you get
a pimple
Most dermatologists
will tell you that there is nothing really that you can do with a pimple
except wait it out. In some cases, they may drain it depending on the
individual pustule. It may result in scarring or an infection if you
squeeze it. While that is probably true, there are times that it may be
okay to help get rid of your pimple. You won’t want to do this often
though. It is better to get rid of the problem rather than the result.
A pimple is caused by
an overproduction of oil in the sebaceous glands or a blockage in the
duct or tubule that prevents the oil to escape. It is important to keep
the area clear of bacteria as well. Having a cleansing routine and using
acne products will generally be the best way to help prevent acne. Many
believe that there are other factors involved as well. For example, your
stress level, diet, hormones may all play a part as well.
It is a good idea to
get control of the pimple situation with a combination of a better diet,
controlling your stress level as well as acne medication or skin care
products. There are a few to choose from on the marketplace. Some will
be more gentle than others in the formula. Read up on a few before you
make a decision on which will best suit your situation.
