Why do we get back acne?

Unfortunately, some of us suffer from pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, cysts, or pustules on our back, which is referred to as back acne.  In some cases, it can affect children or adults.  No one likes the feel or the look of back acne, so learning why we get it and how you can control it is a good step.

Usually we get blemishes wherever there are sebaceous glands with back acne or on the face.  These are stimulated by hormones that are produced in the adrenal glands of boys and girls.  The oil glands continuously product and secrete oil through openings in the skin.  Sometimes the cells block these openings, which cause a buildup under the skin.  Bacteria then feast on this and multiply, which in turn will cause the surrounding tissues to become inflamed.

There are some things that may enhance it, but don’t necessarily cause back acne, like dirt, hormones, stress and food.  You can use most of the acne skin care systems on your back as well.  It is a good idea to implement this into your routine before it gets out of control.  Some of the products are used just on the pimple and others you can use on the whole area.  It may be a good idea to try a solution that works the whole area, because chances are if you are having trouble in a few spots, the breakout may occur in another spot.  It is a good idea to consult your physician for severe cases before you start a program.
